Once upon a time, a long, long, long time ago, the moon
heard the clouds whispering there was a candle brighter
than the Moon itself. The rugged moon looked at the
Earth. She saw white peaks and golden forests. She saw
a man, sitting by the deck of a hut, sipping spice rum
and playing the banjo. 1,2, 3,4,5, the moon counted the
layers of the soul. A delicate, drawn dancer swaying her
hips along, as the tune shared the notes with the winds.
He sang of the wolf and the Moon.
He sang to the shadow. The candle sways. Slowly.
Slowly. Shattered. Suddenly. Slower. Sol. Six, the moon
sings the seconds to sunrise.
