Il tarallo d’oro

Ovvero l’abbraccio, tutto maiuscolo. The embrace. The tarallo is our golden ratio. This is where Ludovica Mazzucato comes to create. This is where Galleria Taralli invites artists and other patrons of the arts to share our creations, invest in them, enjoy them, and make them part of your everyday. We open the doors to our world. We share generously and create with abandon. Our demand for you is simple: Show us your gratitude with fierce enjoyment, wild excitement, and unapologetic love.

A sensual embrace

TARALLI stands for conviviality, coming together, being present, sharing, challenging, fulfilling desires, eating life in one succulent bite, creating fresh memories. Experiences are bold, animated, filled with dimensions and laughs, interlaced with food and beauty. We love to push boundaries and flood them with passion, dance, and heated, whole, fun conversations. We adventure, we tell it like it is, and no matter what, we always, always end by sharing “TARALLI”.

A tasty curl of ideas, a sensual embrace, the addiction to the beauty of togetherness, the curiosity of skinny dipping into the soul. A raw, naked talk.

A raw, naked talk

One night in the Pacific Northwest, Ludovica Mazzucato finds herself with white canvases and tools. In the middle of the night, she’s midday awake, abundant with enough creativity to flood the Getty, the MET, and the Uffizi in one night. The morning after, she has thirty-two paintings drying as the rain does too. She stands with her rainbow hands immersed in her curls down the shoulders, balancing on one leg as she elongates the other behind her with a smile of pleasure, and knocks down a pile of white canvases with her pointed foot. “Tu!”, she turns to talk to the fallen canvases and chooses, “You!”, a canvas she’ll paint with her poetry of delicate rapture, and later sell to a collector in Italy. She enjoys painting. So she does it more. She expands her mediums, develops her talent, and enjoys it more. She paints still in her suit and heels after a board meeting. She paints before the dance rehearsals. She paints barefoot while she taps the rhythm. She paints while she is cooking. While she sings. She paints for two days without breaks. She paints because she does. She paints because she is. She paints because she likes it. So I discover the story goes further than that night and the story is Ludovica. I sit in awe and watch her be happy doing what she likes and hand her tools and bring her opportunities to do it. I’m grateful to be part of your world.

Ludovica Mazzucato creates from herself. She doesn’t follow others. She needs to create. It’s part of her. A joy and a necessity. Her paintings speak of places where the senses are a map of their own, never apart from each other, never apart from her. They tell of her. She is irreplaceable and she knows it. She is Ludovica.

When I asked her how she started, I expected nothing less from her than a simple story, because that’s who she is, uncommon, extraordinary. All you could ever compare her to is Ludovica. So there she was, telling me with her dance the story of how she started all of this. You can’t take art away from her. She is art.

She told me about her talent with parmesan and spaghetti. That was enough to see how natural art is to her. Its hers. She flairs this fan of beauty with everything she does. She’s busy being. She speaks with everything. Her voice is bright and travels.

So much fun!

A musical pause. Take this whole note. Make it semibreve. A tutto tondo, merci. Swirl it around your crested will as a ronde de vie. Chant the chest of charming charms. Sensual decors of a palace in turquoise and gold. Punctuating stones of acrobats in high notes. Un saltimbanco ruzzola sulla mia lingua in volteggi di morbidi mmm ha uh. Sorrido in cannella, sale e sapore. Lecco la musica dalla mia penna. Jazzzz-it-up-pa-pa-pa-pppeuw tdtah tumb bpha bpha. Mmm. Traducilo tu, Fedelmente. Note:

The alchemy of creativity

Contemporary art, glorious experiences, and editorially curated inspiration to feed on art with voracious happiness and live at the edge of the skin. Grounded and elevated at once. Sensual and spiritual. Exciting and generous. Still flow, musical silence, boundless connection.

Release, root to rise, vibrate in mmmm-aaah, and take flight. Crafted by Italian-born Ludovica Mazzucato in Vancouver, B.C., Canada, Galleria TARALLI travels anywhere she takes flight to. And, h! she goes where she wants.

TARALLI dawned from a raw, naked talk birthing the lustful beauty of being at home.

Living rooms are wooden boxes of memories;

They sit, softly sighing smokes of sensual senses.

Raw rewritten resting rocks, amid abrupt ambushes.

The oblivious tempo.

Grooves.

I create how and for as long as I’m happy to do so. Protect and enhance my happiness, and you will be at home in my art.

A tasty curl of ideas

In the traditional Italian Osterie, we savour the shared simplicity of TARALLI to start or finish a meal. Together. They are crunchy bites made with tender and loving care, craftsmanship, and a sense of passing of time, between delicious curves, educated conversations, lives well-traveled, and unsolicited wisdom of protective mothers. They are resilient flagships of a history made by generations. The solid foundations of a family gathered around the table. They are the work of excellence in the taste of pleasure. They are glorious satisfaction as we sit back to taste life. As is. Salty and sultry. Sweet and sour. Sassy and sudden. Slow, at times.

Always, worth it.

Salty and sultry. Sweet and sour. Sassy and sudden.
